Several selected results in crystalline-laser development

Summary form only given. Recent data in crystalline lasers are presented: Pr/sup 3+/ -ion "white" beams and less 1J threshold of the 1.07 /spl mu/m generation; self-frequency conversion schemes of laser emission in doped crystals with high c(2) and c(3); new Raman lasers; new mini-laser designs-ribbon and sheet lasers; new potentialities of the Nd/sup 3+/ and Er/sup 3+/ ions for excitation UV and visible stimulated emission.
