Autonomous-type tracking robot with network environment

Japan faces an unprecedented situation, with fewer children and an aging society. Advanced medical technology or health care is not proving sufficient in dealing with a rapidly aging society[1]. Society must provide life support services for elderly people to make their life more meaningful and dignified. People with dementia require person-to-person care in order to improve their pride, self-discipline and mental condition. This research proposes the feasibility of a remote-control nursing care system in collaboration with a tracking nursing robot and network environment to relieve both the care receiver and provider from mental and physical pressure in their nursing care lives in full respect of care receiver's human rights.
