A Novel Soft Switching Bidirectional DC/DC Converter and Design Consideration

This paper proposes a new soft switching bi-directional DC-DC converter. The described converter employs the symmetric topology with high frequency transformer. It gets soft switching with the designed pulse-width modulation control, which guarantees soft switching in wide load range without any additional circuit components. Furthermore, simplified method to calculate the inductor's value is also introduced.
