RWG Method Based Design of Minkowski Fractal Loop Yagi Antenna

Fractal shape is a structure that has been formed by broken curve. Its application in antenna theory is in design of small antenna, multi-band antenna and fractal array antenna. This paper presents the design of Minkowski loop Yagi antenna based on Matlab simulation at 880-960 MHz band. Minkowski loop is introduced into the antenna structure intended to reduce the antenna size. Rao-Wilton-Glisson (RWG) basis functions and delta-gap feed model are used to create a system of moment equations in Matlab simulation. The designed antenna has good return loss at the whole band. And the antenna gain is between 10 dBi and 11.2 dBi. Compared to square loop Yagi antenna which works at the same band, its size is reduced 34.5%.
