Transport layers for backbone and access IP networks

The use of chordal rings in an optical network is proposed and studied. Due to structure simplification, reliability improvement, and cost decreasing this solution can be useful to build small backbone networks as well as access networks. Two real regional networks in Poland have been analyzed as a part of the study.
