Simulation and testing environments for the DARPA Urban Challenge

In this paper we provide an overview of the simulation and testing environments developed for the Ohio State University’s DARPA Urban Challenge vehicle OSU-ACT (Autonomous City Transport). These environments were used in the research and development process of the actual challenge vehicle, and also extended for classroom teaching purposes and for general autonomous vehicle research.
