Amplitude-noise and timing-jitter reduction via pulsed injection locking of SOA fiber ring laser

We demonstrate the amplitude-noise and timing-jitter reduction of repetition pulses by the injection locking of an SOA fiber ring laser. Amplitude-noise and timing-jitter are successfully reduced from 3.50∼6.46% to 0∼2.68% and 0.41∼4.07ps to 0.38∼3.07ps, respectively.
