Transverse Fluxes and Magnetic Characteristics of Three-Phase Transformer Core with Ducts

The influence of the perpendicular ducts in a three-phase transformer core on the magnetic characteristics is studied by using the finite element method. The relationship between the duct width and the flux distribution are examined in detail. It is clarified that the transverse flux at the duct cannot be ignored.
