The Challenges of Technical Convergence instancing Portals

The progress of Internet technologies leads to an increasing integration of services, systems, and processes. In this paper this integration is deconstructed into several different dimensions for achieving a closer insight into how it advances. The dimensions are then applied to portal technologies as example application to show the dimensions' possible and already achieved impacts on technology.
