Long-period gratings in chalcogenide rib waveguides

We report on Long-period gratings fabricated in highly nonlinear chalcogenide (As
2
S
3
) glass rib waveguides. Coupling the fundamental to higher order modes leads to bandrejection of 18 dB at 1525 nm.
