Simple Technique to Reduce Polarisation Sensitivity in Optical Devices

A novel and cost-effective technique to reduce and manage polarisation sensitivity in optical devices using a polarisation switch is presented. Experiments show that guaranteed output power within -4 dB of maximum input light is achievable.
