The Industry in the 80's

Over the past two decades, the integrated circuit industry has been evolving at a pace exceeding that of even the most optimistic forecasts. Among various forecasts in the early days of the IC industry, two are especially worth mentioning: One is Dr. Gorden Moore's well known Moore's law.(1)(2)
