"Very High Speed Devices for VLSI"

Experts in both bipolar and field-effect transistors will discuss the relative attributes of candidate devices for VLSI. The discussions will consider speed limits of the devices in an integrated circuit environment, ease of fabrication, prospective yields, and peaking density. Examples of questions relating to key issues which will be explicitly addressed by the panel are given below.
