Direct Torque Controller for Low Velocity and High Torque PMSM Based on TMS320F2812 DSP

In this paper, a kind of variable-voltage direct torque control (DTC) method for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive system is proposed. In order to achieve a fully digitized hardware design scheme of a direct torque controller, this is verified and implemented on digital signal processor (DSP). It mainly introduces the theory of the system's realization and the design method of hardware and software. This scheme integrates the direct torque controller strategy, the T speed measurement algorithm, the DTC algorithm and SVPWM principle as well as the DSP design methodology. Experimental results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed direct torque controller.
