Microwave and DC anisotropy fields of exchange-coupled CoFe/PtMn/CoFe trilayers

In this paper, the authors examined the ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) characteristics of CoFe/PtMn/CoFe trilayer thin films to determine mechanisms behind the intermediate drop in linewidth observed, and investigate the exchange bias fields (Hex) at DC versus at X-band (9.5 GHz). Results showed that the FMR linewidth did not drop monotonically with the increase of FM thickness in the exchange coupled trilayers. This non-monotonic FMR linewidth drop could be utilized in integrated microwave magnetic materials for RF and microwave devices.
