A Communication Network for Distributed Data Acquisition and Control in Industrial Plants

Several communication network architectures for use in distributed data acquisition and control are examined in this paper. A particular network using a loop structure implementation is discussed in detail because of its attractiveness in distributed information processing. Simulation results of one mode of operation of this communication network are presented here also.
