Recent Advances in Multibeam Antennas

An overall survey of the multibeam spacecraft antenna technology is given on the basis of recent theoretical and experimental work at GE's Space Systems Division. Results are included for a 3.53 m diameter, offset fed paraboloid illuminated by a 16 reconfigurable feed in the 5.925-6.725 GHz frequency band. The paper is based in part on work under the sponsorship and technical direction of the International Telecommunications Satellite Organization.
