Spectral Estimation of a Narrow-Band Gaussian Process from the Distribution of the Distance Between Adjacent Zeros

An approximate expression for the probability density of the interzero distance for a narrow-band Gaussian process is given. Spectral estimation from this distribution is discussed. The first and second moment of the signal spectrum may be estimated, but little information of the detailed form of the spectrum is revealed.
