Asymmetrical Short-Circuit Current Interruption by Synthetic Testing Method

In this paper, the authors are dealing with a problem which, up to now, has not resulted into any official recommendation, i.e the method to be used to define the transient recovery voltage to be applied further to the interruption of an asymmetrical current, on synthetic testing. The considerations developed are applied to the 765 kV-50 KA circuit breaker.
