Computer Aided Analysis of Wind Loads on Horizontal Vee Type Transmission Line Systems

Horizontal vee type transmission line insulator assemblies are described and the system's mechanical stability discussed. A computer program for determining the wind loading stability limits for typical system parameters is presented. Methods are also considered for increasing the stability of such systems to wind induced forces.
