Modeling of Magnetic Anisotropy of SrRuO3 Thin Films Using Tensors

Spintronic devices and magnetic tunneling devices have been a major topic of research in recent years. One of the most promising heterostructures are SrRuO
₃
/SiTiO
₃
heterostructures. Anisotropy induced magnetic properties of SrRuO
₃
become complicated in SrRuO
₃
/SrTiO
₃
heterostructure because of distorted interfacial symmetry coming from orthorhombic nature of SrRuO
₃
and cubic SrRuO
₃
. Although the magnetic anisotropy is known to be related with surface morphology and microstructures, their roles as well as the anisotropy axis itself are still controversial issue. We present modeling of the magnetic anisotropy behavior for two different growth modes by the use of tensors
