A Childe's Two Views of the Beam Shapes and, Sine-Squared Space of the AHSO and AHNO Radars

Consider γ as the angle between the beam and boresight of a phased-array radar. A simple explanation is given of the beam broadening along γ, and in proportion to secant γ. This leads to a concise consideration of polar sin γ space, sine-squared space, and some associated properties. Physical relationships are depicted, without unnecessary mathematical vigor.
