A novel programmable CMOS temperature switch

A novel CMOS programmable temperature switch with uncalibrated high temperature accuracy is presented. Threshold temperature T

can be programmed by adjusting the ratio of width and length of the transistors which determine T

. A floating gate neural MOS circuit is introduced and improves the precision of T

greatly. The circuit is implemented in a standard 0.35 mum CMOS process. 16 different T
_thS
can be set with a 3sigma inaccuracy of 1.5degC. The chip area is only 0.04 mm
²
. Power consumption is only 15 muA at 3.3V power supply
