Fuzzy symplectic systems: a new framework for multi-stakeholder decision making

The consensus seeking process in a multi-stakeholder decision-making system is considered as a fuzzy motion (without precisely defined target states) with two characteristics: urge towards consensus and freedom for decision-making. The basic structural property of such a fuzzy system is that it is symplectic-stakeholders' freedom for decision-making is preserved, independently of time, all along the consensus seeking trajectories. It is shown that: (1) the dynamic of fuzzy symplectic systems (FSS) is Hamiltonian (the Hamiltonian itself being identified with the energy propelling consensus seeking drive in FSS) and (2) the longest persistence against perturbation leading to chaos has a FSS whose ratio between the fuzzy motion characteristics is 'close enough' to the golden mean. An example from the social practice of negotiation is considered.<
