Adaptive RF notch filtering using photorefractive two-beam coupling

We propose and demonstrate an optical system that performs adaptive notch filtering for RF signals, where narrowband interference noise is rejected without knowing a priori its frequency location. Our system makes novel use of photorefractive two-beam coupling along with an acoustooptic deflector.<
