A control system of carburization using fuzzy-PID combined controller

An actual control system of carburization, which is nonlinear and contains significant dead-time, is described. Beginning with designing a conventional PID controller, the authors introduce a new PID-fuzzy combined controller to obtain a more desired system response and to avoid the tuning of PID parameters. The operation of the control system has shown higher carburizing quality and better response.<
