Comments on tone calibration in time varying fading

The validity of the slow fading assumption used in previous analyses of tone calibration techniques (TCT) is examined. TCT systems previously proposed will produce an error floor, albeit a very low one. The requirements for the elimination of the error floor are examined, and the error floor produced in a typical TCT system is studied. Monte Carlo integration techniques are used to evaluate integrals containing the isotropic fading spectrum.<
