Power quality and symmetrical component analysis

Power quality problems can result from unbalances in either the system load or the system components. These unbalances can result in overheating of system components, difficulty in controlling equipment, and circulating currents in the delta winding circuits of machines. Appropriate system voltage and current measurements combined with symmetrical component analysis can determine the source of these system unbalances. A case study is presented.<
