Real-time control of an AC motor using a field orientation algorithm

The authors discuss the experimentation of the features of a transputer-based control system in real-time applications. This system has been used to regulate the speed of an AC motor using a field orientation algorithm. Conclusions about the features obtained (compared with other approaches) and ease of programmability are provided.<
