LV CB microprocessor-based relays for central computerized system control

The evolution of digital programmable control units making use of microprocessors now offers fully integrated relay systems which have a number of advantages over analog units. The authors report on the evolution of open-circuit solid state protection integrated in LV automatic CBs. A point is made of the state of the art of microprocessor-based relays, consisting of modular units capable of carrying out protection, signalling and dialogue functions are described in detail.<
