A computer aided method for design of noninvasive indirect measurement of arterial blood pressure

A computer aided method for design of noninvasive indirect measurement of systolic, diastolic pressure and mean arterial blood pressure on the human finger is described. It was based on the vascular unloading technique and used a hydraulic adaptive control system. The error between measured blood pressure and actual human blood pressure could be controlled by using self-tuning adaptive control. The design of the system, based on a microcomputer, could automatically accept and process the data from a sample signal, display the measurement results on front panel light emitting diodes, and control the hydraulic system, thereby forming a closed-loop real-time indirect measurement system of arterial blood pressure.<
