Future role of packaged cogeneration systems

A survey of the current packaged cogeneration systems reveals their effectiveness in commercial applications such as hospitals, restaurants, and supermarkets. The authors assert that the limitations of the current systems can be overcome by the development and utilization of novel technologies. They present as a promising candidate fuel cell-based systems. Major development efforts for novel technologies can be justified only with promising market appeal. An overview of the domestic market and foreign markets, especially those in the developing countries, is presented.<
