PC and SCADA based energy management techniques

In 1989 UK Papers' New Thames Mill set up a scheme to investigate and subsequently reduce their energy consumption. Following an initial investigation into energy management techniques, it was decided that the existing SCADA should be used for data analysis, with a communications link to a personal computer where the more complex mathematics could be performed.<
