Engineering kit for the elementary school

Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville has begun to address the problem of encouraging elementary students in science. Developed science kits help provide the resources that teachers need to present a low-cost, meaningful science experience to students. There have been no kits emphasizing engineering skills or engineering as a career. The schools of Education and Engineering have combined efforts to develop kits that demonstrate the science and engineering aspects of materials. These kits encourage engineers to work with the elementary students and allow them to experience engineering as fun, exciting, and challenging.<
