Equalized earthing system for the telecommunication systems against the induced lightning surge

The authors developed an earthing method called the equalized earthing system (EES) for protecting telecommunication equipment. The hardware and the software of ESS were installed in a heavy lightning area. The damage to the telecommunication systems, the experimental results on the EES, and the analysis of observed lightning surges are reported.<
