Three-Dimensional Guidance Law Design for Missile Based on Robust Adaptive Control

The problem of interception of missile-target against maneuvering target was studied, which based on nonlinear equations of pursuit-evasion motion of point-mass aircraft. A robust three-dimensional missile guidance algorithm was presented using robust adaptive control method and Lyapunov stability theory. Under the condition that no accurate information on the acceleration and velocity relative heading angle of the target was required, a novel robust adaptive function was introduced to resolve the guidance law design problem. The proposed algorithm consisted of an improved PNG law presented in this work and a robust control term in parallel. Simulation results had shown that the proposed guidance algorithm has strong robustness to the maneuver of the target.
