Design and Analysis of an Adjustable Subreflector for the Hybrid Mechanical-Electronic Pointing System at the Satellite Q/V Band

This paper presents some advanced results of the study developed under ESA contract for the Hybrid Mechanical-Electronic Pointing System, considered for future missions using the Q/V band. An adjustable subreflector prototype has been designed and manufactured in order to provide a scanning field of view of 4° around a central direction. The details of the sufreflector design and some simulated results of the antenna performance are presented here.
