Development of a 25 kV 1 Amp direct conversion power supply for high power RF applications

This paper is concerned with a new type of power supply for high power RF applications for CW operation. The converter switches at zero current for high operating frequency for minimised transformer and filter size. Circuit operation and control are discussed. Advantages of this topology over conventional approaches are discussed, along with the potential problems and proposed solutions
