Polarization and bit-length independent all-optical logic gate based active correlator for bit serial label processing

We demonstrate correlation of bit-serial labels in optical label switching networks using an all-optical semiconductor optical amplifier based XOR gate. The proposed scheme does not require precise phase maintenance, is scalable, and is polarization independent.
