CARRD.NET - Software for Planning Radio-Relay Networks

CARRD.NET enables quick and easy design of point-to-point (PP) and passive repeaters microwave networks by simply entering the site coordinates; geographic distribution of radio stations, output powers, antenna radiation patterns, filter suppression of neighboring channels and receiver thresholds as well as the repeaters details; and coordinates for each link into a simple set of forms. The paper gives detailed description of module for calculation of interference in the network with a special consideration for the role of passive reflectors, by whose increase the network jamming increases exponentially. Besides, the CARRD.NET is realized as GIS software so that it can be used for both maintenance and radio-relay networks extension.
