An adaptive routing protocol selection algorithm corresponding to dynamic wireless network environment

In this paper, an adaptive algorithm for the dynamic network which can be affected by a variety of factors, is proposed. Because of resource utility rate and the dynamic state of the wireless network, different protocols have different costs. The proposed algorithm can select an appropriate protocol that has the lower cost. The simulation results show that the proposed adaptive algorithm is realizable and can save the resource of the cellular system or ad hoc network via considering the mobility of device in addition to power consumption and bandwidth.
