Formal Architectural Analysis of Complex Computer Systems

Today, most computer systems are designed using off the shelf hardware and software components. This significantly accelerates the system development process but does not guarantee the quality of the finished product. In this paper we consider quality as a compliance of the designed computer system with the requirements of potential users. We assume that there are limited cost and hardware/software restrictions during the development process of a computer system.
