Wideband two-integrator oscillator-mixer

Oscillators with quadrature output signals are required in modern RF front-ends. In this paper, we present a two-integrator wide tuning range oscillator that can perform also the mixing function. After a high level (Matlab) study the oscillator was designed for AMS 0.35 /spl mu/m CMOS technology. The circuit level simulations show that the oscillator is tunable in the range of 900 MHz to 5.8 GHz by changing a tuning current, and mixing may be performed throughout this range.
