Internet2 end-to-end performance tuning for distributed computing applications

We have conducted Internet2 connections end-to-end performance tunings to explore the use of high-speed network for distributed computing applications. In this research, we have investigated and tuned data transfer rate on Internet2 connections. The results have shown that the data transfer rates can be improved by adjusting the sender and receiver buffer sizes and/or maximum congestion window sizes. The network bottlenecks between the sender machine and receiver machine are also identified to remove the unexpected long delays.
