A chaos-based secure voice communication system

In this paper, a chaos-based secure voice communication system is designed over user datagram protocol (UDP). The voice signal is encrypted by a stream cipher in which a fast 32-bit chaos-based pseudo-random number generator (PRNG) is embedded. The chaos-based PRNG consists of two parts, namely bit-generating and mixing, in order to generate a pseudo-random key stream. The randomness is verified with the up-to-date statistical testing suite. Together with the high sensitivity on the system parameters and the initial conditions of the chaotic maps, the encrypted voice signals are difficult to be eavesdropped.
