On the Performance Evaluation of VISA MIMO Scheme in Real Indoor Environments

Recently, some of the authors have proposed a novel scheme, called frequency domain Virtual Sub-carrier Assignment (VISA) Multi-Input Multi-Output (MIMO) concept, to detect MIMO-OFDM signal [1]. The principle of the VISA structure is to deliberately color OFDM signals by different virtual subcarrier positions in the spectrum to enable Adaptive Array of Antennas (AAA) to accept an OFDM signal selectively [2]-[3]. Due to the promising results obtained by software simulations, we extend the performance examination of the frequency domain VISA concept, in this paper, into a real campaign measurement. To illustrate the performance of the proposed scheme, simulation results will be presented for QAM modulations.
