Control of Laser Pulses Shape Using Coherent Population Trapping

In the paper we show how can control temporal shape of laser pulses using the phenomenon of a coherent population trapping (CPT). Temporal compression is demonstrated as a special case of pulse tailoring,. In addition, it is discussed manipulating of a temporal shape of retrieved pulse recorded on basis of CPT.
