Analysis of passive targets detection using CDMA signal

The use of a non-cooperative code division multiple access (CDMA) transmitter as the illuminator for a bi-static radar system is investigated. A signal-processing scheme is developed to detect moving targets. This scheme uses the Doppler shift of targets echoes to estimate the targets' speed and time delay. The system contains two separate but collocated receivers where Doppler and cross-correlation processing is applied to the direct path and target signal path. We implement the cross-correlation processing using fast Fourier transform (FFT) instead of direct integration.
