Sensitivity limits in SOS magnetodiodes

SOS magnetodiodes having base lengths 6-31 µm showed magnetic sensitivity maxima with increasing operating voltage. Sensitivity limits ranged from 0.024 to 4.9 V/T. An expression based on a common power density limit gives good agreement with results and predicts higher sensitivity limits for longer, more intrinsic base regions.
