A low distortion, current feedback, programmable gain amplifier

A programmable gain amplifier (PGA) is designed in a 0.18 /spl mu/m CMOS process, which makes use of current feedback building blocks. The voltage gain of the PGA can be changed from 0 dB to +60 dB with 2 dB steps and has a -3 dB bandwidth of 20 MHz. The PGA exhibits better than -60 dB spurious free dynamic range (SFDR) over the entire gain range at a full output swing of 1 Vp-p.
